PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a butt cap which is used for a fishing rod and can readily be detached from the main body of the fishing rod. SOLUTION: This butt cap 1 for the fishing rod, comprises a butt ring 20 detachably fixed to the main body 30 of the fishing rod and a butt rubber 10 connected to the butt ring 20, characterized by having a rotation-preventing means which can prevent the axial relative rotation of the butt rubber 10 to the butt ring 20.
