PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a post-processing method and device capable of shortening a processing time. SOLUTION: Every time stacking a recording media, two alignment plates are driven to urge the side face of the recording medium by a prescribed urging force and align the width direction of the recording media. When the last recording medium is stacked thereon, the two alignment plates are driven to bind the recording media with the side faces of the recording media urged by the prescribed urging force.
