COMMUNICATION SYSTEM THROUGH IP NETWORK AND COMMUNICATION METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A communication system through an IP network and a communication method thereof are provided to perform multimedia communication by providing a voice communication, an incoming/outgoing and an exchange service through a communication system based on an IP composed of an IP exchange and a net gate, and providing the exchange service capable of performing incoming and outgoing in using a floating IP. CONSTITUTION: A net gate(200) performs a log-in with an IP allocated from an ISP to a logging server. In addition, the net gate(200) performs a call request to a calling server when a communication terminal(100) is hooked on. An IP exchange(300) includes the logging server, a polling server and a calling server. The logging server transmits an IP allocated to the net gate(200) from the ISP to the polling server. The polling server is connected to the net gate(200) through the IP transmitted from the logging server. In addition, the polling server stores a "telephone number+floating IP" transmitted from the net gate(200) in a relevant database. The calling server searches the database in case that the net gate(200) makes a call request and an IP matching with the telephone number and forms a speech path.
