<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to quickly adjust the magnitude of load and combine with a function of releasing load by providing a load unit with a vacuum chamber and intake holes communicated with the chamber, utilizing the air pressure of the vacuum chamber to apply load, and enabling a user to control opening and closing of the intake holes by a load adjusting device. SOLUTION: A load adjusting device 70 of a load unit for applying load to a user in training for muscular strength is adapted to adjust the magnitude of load by closing plural intake holes in the load unit, and provided with a disk-like gate seat 72 and a movable body 73. The gate seat 72 has plural air holes 76, which are respectively connected to a vacuum chamber of a load unit by extension pipes 71. The movable body 73 has different gate holes 74 for communicating with the outside air in plural gate areas, which can be selectively communicated with the air holes 76. When the gate area having no hole 74 is turned to the position of the air hole 76, the vacuum chamber 4of the load unit is closed to increase the load applied to the user.</p> |
