The end of the damper rod (2) or cylinder (1) is connected to the vehicle bodywork (C) by a flexible articulation using an elastomer filtering element (14). The filtering element comprises an annular block which concentrically surrounds the rod and is fixed to the bodywork by a rigid support (15) and connected to the rod end by a bell-shaped component (23) whose side wall (24) surrounds the rod. A rigid circular plate (25) delimits with the collar shaped wall (27) of the bell-shaped part a housing for the annular block.
