PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain remote control with excellent operability without incurring complicated configuration of a remote control transmitter and without the need for troublesome remote control setting. SOLUTION: In the state that an audio device and a personal computer PC are connected, a user uses the PC to make customize settings of customize buttons of the remote control transmitter attached to the audio device. First the user selects a button to be customized, and when the user selects the button, the user selects a function to be assigned to the button. When the assignment of the function is finished, the setting information in response to the selected contents by the user is generated, and the PC transmits the setting information to the audio device. The audio device stores assigned contents of the customize button on the basis of the setting information.
