PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a panel frame part on the side where a light receiving element is arranged in an optical touch panel device. SOLUTION: A light shielding slit 24 where at least three stages of spaces 27 are constituted in the direction perpendicular to an operation face 11a by an angular cylinder part 25 and plural parallel plane plate parts 26 which equally partition the space in the cylinder is arranged in the front of a light receiving element 15. The malfunction of the light receiving element 15 due to diffused external light 19 made incident from above the operation face 11a is prevented by this light shielding slit 24. Width D of spaces 27 is reduced to be able to shorten length L of the light shielding slit 24, and thus the light receiving element 15 can be more approximated to the operation face 11a than conventional.
