PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator wherein heat from a compressor is guided to a center upper surface of a vaporization pan to cause a convection flow of air in a machine chamber, and a necessary vaporization amount is ensured by effectually making use of the heat from the compressor even without a condensation pipe. SOLUTION: A refrigerator is adapted such that a vaporization pan 11 is provided in a machine chamber 10 through a drain pipe 12 derived from a bottom plate 2b of a heat insulation box composed of a heat insulating material filled between an outer box 2 and an inner box, and a compressor 13 is disposed at a lower portion of the vaporization pan 11, heat of which compressor 13 is in turn utilized to vaporize defrosted water. In the refrigerator, a cylinder section 11a is formed at the center of the bottom of the vaporization pan 11, which section is protruded upward in the shape of a cylinder and has an opening in an upper end thereof, and further an air guide member 14 having a V shaped cross section is disposed at an upper end edge opposing to the foregoing opening 11b for dividing the heat from the compressor 13 to the left and the right between it and the foregoing cylinder section 11a.
