PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eccentric chuck having a small outline and improved in chuck efficiency. SOLUTION: A chuck main body 2 is provided with a master jaw 12 movable in the radial direction of a chuck toward the turning center, whereby the center of the gripping operation and the turning center are the same so that the outline of the eccentric chuck 1 is not increased. The respective master jaws 12 are provided with chuck claws 10, 11 having work gripping parts 24, 25 in a position eccentric from the turning center. The respective chuck claws 10, 11 are provided with an abutting part 30 disposed on the opposite parts 10a, 11a on the opposite side to the work gripping parts 24, 25 through the turning center. When the work W is gripped, the respective abutting parts 3 abut on one another, thereby preventing the chuck claws 10, 11 and the master jaw 12 from being rotated to the chuck main body 1, whereby loss of cylinder force due to increase in frictional force of the master jaw 12 and a guide groove 9 can be prevented to improve the chuck efficiency.
