PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compost spreader which can easily carry out compost- carrying works. SOLUTION: This compost spreader 1 comprises a box 3 disposed on a traveling truck 2 and used for loading composts, a compost-transferring device 4 for backward transferring the composts in the box 3 in the traveling direction, and a spreading device 5 for receiving the composts transferred with the compost-transferring device 4 at the rear end of the box 3 and then backward spreading the composts from the box 3. The spreading device 5 is liftably disposed at the rear end of the box 3.
