The mould consists of a body (3, 3a, 3b) e.g. of a molded resin with an imprint (4, 4a, 4b) and a heating system for heating the molded material, either directly or via an intermediate imprint with a surface contiguous with the material, without using the thermal conductivity of the mold body or imprint itself. The imprint (4) is made from a material (7) such as a mineral resin which limits the transfer of heat energy from the material to the body of the mold and vice versa, and has additional insulation in the form of a reflective layer. The heating system is electrokinetic or magnetodynamic and causes an electric current to pass directly or by induction through the molded material or the intermediate surface imprint, made from or coated with a conducting metal. A variant of the mould can incorporate a supple membrane of a heat resistant material to apply a pressure to the molded material. |
