HOUSING-TYPE ANTENNA DEVICE AND RADIO DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost housing-type antenna device in portable radio communication equipment having improved electric characteristics and productivity in the accommodation of an antenna and in extension and simple structure. SOLUTION: The housing-type antenna device comprises a built-inλ/4 antenna or an inverse F antenna 8 that is arranged in an enclosure and aλ/2 rod-like antenna 9 that can be housed in the enclosure, and an antenna holder 10 that supports theλ/2 rod-like antenna 9 and performing the connection continuity and opening of the two antenna 8 and 9 in housing and extension. When the antenna is to be housed, only the built-inλ/4 antenna or the inverse F antenna in the enclosure operates when the antenna is housed. When theλ/2 rod-like antenna 9 is extended, the built-inλ/4 antenna or the inverse F antenna 8 is subjected to connection continuity with theλ/2 rod-like antenna 9 by the antenna holder 10, and both operate as antennas in the housing-type antenna device.
