PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an optical disc drive that has a short seek time at a low cost. SOLUTION: The deformation amount of a spring holding an objective lens is estimated from the speed measuring value on the like of speed control in seek action and a seek failure is prevented by controlling a coarse actuator and the deformation of the spring based on the estimated value.
