PURPOSE: A method and device for testing performance of elastic body installed on job site are provided to test tension-strain quality on the job site without detaching a device from a main body. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises four steps. The first step is to transfer load, supported or given by an elastic body installed as a part of an equipment, to an outside of a specimen. The second step is to install an auxiliary device on the specimen to freely control load from outside and then to install a sensor to measure displacement of the specimen. The third step is to calculate current working load and tension-strain quality to test soundness of the specimen by changing load by the hydraulic load control device to measure deformation. The fourth step is to remove the load control device and to restore load having been transferred to outside to restore function of the specimen.
