ROLLERS FOR USE IN MOLTEN SALT BATH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology that prevents abrasion resistant rollers treated with thermal-sprayed abrasive ceramics coatings from thermal shock peeling of the coatings, enabling life-long use of the rollers in conveying steel sheets in molten salt bath. SOLUTION: Salt bath rollers are defined to have thermal sprayed coatings made of porous ZrO2 or similar material for its anchor layer so as to mitigate thermal shock by means of its cushion property, preventing coatings from peeling.
