PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shield machine, a device for detecting the attitude of the shield machine, and a method of constructing a horizontal bord capable of accurately constructing a horizontal bord even if the horizontal bord to be constructed is curved. SOLUTION: The shield machine includes a cylindrical shield machine body 1 with a cutter head 2 formed at its end; a plurality of control pipes 3, 4 and 5 continuing with the rear of the shield machine body 1; and direction correcting devices 6 and 7 disposed in positions where the shield machine body 1 is connected to the front control pipe 3, for adjusting the propulsion direction of the shield machine body 1. The shield machine also includes sensors 8, 9, 10 and 11 for detecting expansion length or angle, with each sensor connected at one end to the specific control pipe 3 and at the other end to another control pipe 4 behind the control pipe 3, and a display device 18 for displaying the expansion length measured by the sensors 8, 9, 10 and 11. |
