PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for manufacturing lead powder by a burton pot process, by which lead powder is manufactured while controlling the temperature of a reaction pot to a constant value with rapid responsiveness, suppressing the deposition of molten lead to the inner wall of the reaction pot, and preventing the excessive oxidizability of the resulting lead powder. SOLUTION: The temperature inside the reaction pot 2 is controlled to a constant value by adding water into the reaction pot 2 from a water supply source 9. The quantity of air fed from an air supply source 12 into the reaction pot 2 is controlled so that the load electric power of a motor 5 for rotating agitation blades 4 to be rotated in the reaction vessel 2 can be maintained at a value within the prescribed range.
