PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small sized cloth stretching device having a simple structure by a method wherein a pinching-style clamping is made unnecessary. SOLUTION: The cloth stretching device 2 is equipped with a table equipped with holding frames 3 for supporting a rectangular frame body 1, a cloth tensing means for tensing the cloth portion on one face of the frame body by pulling the edge part of a cloth seated on one face of the frame body along the side edges of the frame body towards the other face side of the frame body and a fixture striking machine 6 for fixing the cloth of fixing the edge portion of the tensed cloth to the side edges of the frame body. The cloth tensing means consists of a pair of clamping rollers 14, which press the cloth edge parts respectively locating at two opposing side edges of the frame body 1 against the side faces of the two opposing holding frames 3 (or of pinching members 15) and, frictionally contact with the cloth edge parts. The respective clamping rollers 14 are rotatingly driven so as to pull the cloth edge parts towards a tensing direction in order to tense the cloth on the face of the frame body through the rotating driving of a pair of the clamping rollers.
