PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a platelet collection device which enables a user to confirm, during the collection of platelets, a more accurate compensatory number of platelets to be collected than the expected number of platelets to be collected in the scheduled number of cycles of platelet procedures. SOLUTION: A platelet collection device 1 is a device that calculates the number of platelet collection cycles and the expected number of platelets to be collected or their associated levels from the hematocrit data, the platelet concentration data and the target collection number of platelets of a donor to be inputted prior to the procedure of collecting platelets. The platelet collection device 1 is provided with a function to calculate the expected compensatory number of platelets to be collected for calculating the compensatory level of the expected platelets to be collected, using the expected extracorporeal circulatory blood volume and the expected number of platelets to be collected which are calculated from an actual extracorporeal circulatory blood volume during the first operational procedure of platelet collection following the termination of blood collection for the first operational procedure of platelet collection and the above hematocrit data.
