The invention concerns a promoter which provides high levels of expression of DNA sequences placed under its control in fruits, characterised in that it comprises or consists of the sequence SEQ ID No. 1 of the list of sequences in the appendix, a fragment or a derivative thereof constituting a promoter modulated by a hormone and/or anaerobiosis.
