[Class 20 (iii)] Cabin windows of aircraft are glazed with panes a smaller than the frame and connected thereto by an elastic member b let into a groove in the pane and clamped against the body c by a frame d. The frame d is clamped by screws and packing strips f, the screwcarrying brackets c<2> being adjustably bolted to the body if desired. The frame d<1> supports the pane on the inner edge with interposed packing e against wind pressure, but the pane may be displaced by outward pressure. The pane may be of the kind sold under the Registered Trade Mark " Perspex " and the elastic member b may be that known under the Registered Trade Mark "Linatex."</p> |
