PURPOSE: A bar for cultivating bacteria and a method of cutting the same bar are provided. The bar has small volume and wide surface area, and is thus used for mass-culturing bacteria. CONSTITUTION: The bar for cultivating bacteria is made from polyvinyl chloride(PVC) as a main component, and a small amount of carbon, SiO2, calcium, FeSO4·7H2O, TiO2, sulfur, kalium and magnesia. The bar for cultivating bacteria is cut by the steps of: positioning a blade of a bite(30) below the center line of the bar(10), positioning one side section of a cutting instrument(12) passed through the center line of the bar so as for a corner(P) of the bite(30) to be positioned at a slightly deviated region from the center line of the bar(10), and rotating the cutting instrument(12) or the bar(10) to produce the zigzagging on the bar.
