The invention concerns a base comprising at least two parallel vertical members (1, 2) connected by linking structures (6, 9) including a slot for passing through a post, stake or mast (11) to be maintained in an inserting space (3). A bottom transverse stop (10) supports the post, stake or mast (11). At least an intermediate transverse wing, at the transverse stop (10), enables to press down the base so as to drive it into the ground, thereby increasing transverse stability, and facilitating its insertion into the ground.
