摘要 PURPOSE: An electronic starting apparatus for a high intensity discharging lamp is provided to prevent a high voltage from generating by opening the relay contact point after normal operation by installing a control circuit and a protection circuit. CONSTITUTION: An electronic starting apparatus for a high intensity discharging lamp comprises a rectification circuit(10), a power factor compensating circuit, an inverter circuit, a high intensity generator, a resonance circuit, a control circuit, and a protection circuit. The control circuit is installed to an auxiliary winding(T2C) of the transformer in the high intensity generator. A resistor(R7), a diode(D4), and a capacitor are connected to the both ends of the auxiliary winding(T2C) in series, and a resistor and a relay coil(Ra) are connected to the both ends of the capacitor. The protection circuit is installed to both ends of a capacitor(C3) as a voltage dividing circuit. A diode(D5) and a resistor(R11) are installed to charge a capacitor(C6) with the divided voltage. The capacitor(C6) is connected to a capacitor(C7) through a zener diode(ZD) and a resistor(R12). An output terminal of a thyristor(SCR2) is connected to the both ends of the capacitor(C7), a gate of the thyristor(SCR2) is connected to driving voltage supply of the oscillator integrated circuit(U2) through a diode(D6). A capacitor(C8) is connected to the Vcc terminal of the oscillator integrated circuit(U2).
