MULTI-PULSE DC POWER TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A multi-pulse DC power transmission system is provided to minimize a number of the thyristor without using an additive stack of the thyristor by adding a thyristor auxiliary circuit. CONSTITUTION: A multi-pulse DC power transmission system comprises a double winding transformer(3-1), a first and a second current smoothing reactors(3-9), a first and a second DC voltage dividing capacitors(3-8), and many thyristors(3-2)(3-3). The double winding transformer(3-1) is connected between a ground terminal of a first converter(3-13) and an output terminal of a second converter(3-11) to supply the output voltage difference between the first converter and the second converter. The first and the second current smoothing reactors(3-9) are connected to the one end of the double winding transformer(3-1) and the output terminal of the first and the second converters(3-13)(3-11) respectively. The first and the second DC voltage dividing capacitors(3-8) are connected to the first and the second current smoothing reactors(3-9) in series respectively. Many thyristors(3-2)(3-3) are connected to the secondary side of the double winding transformer, and one of them is turned on by a rising edge pulse o the primary voltage.
