PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording device and an information recording method which prevent the same data from being repeatedly written in the same positions and can prolong the rewriting service life of a recording medium and perform reliable data recording, and to provide an information reproducing device and an information reproducing method. SOLUTION: When scramble processing is applied to user data divided in each sector and prescribed additional information ID, IDE, RSV, and EDC are added to the user data to record the user data on a recording medium, the scramble processing is applied to digital data divided into sectors by using a scramble pattern selectively generated in option, and information SP for specifying the scramble pattern used by the scramble processing is included in the additional information ID, IDE, RSV, and EDC, is recorded on the recording medium. |
