The apparatus for reactive distillation comprises a distillation zone consisting of a draining zone and a rectification zone associated with an internal reactive zone comprising a catalytic bed in which transformation of the charge is effected with gaseous hydrogen (H2).The catalytic bed is traversed co-currently and in ascending mode by the gaseous and liquid fluxes and the distillation vapour is not in contact with the catalyst. Also claimed is the use of the apparatus for the hydrogenation of light olefins and benzene and for the hydro-isomerisation of butenes to produce isobutene.
