<p>The outer double rear-view mirror can be used in automobiles and comprises a housing (2) that can be coupled to a support (1) that is mounted on the structure of the vehicle. The housing (2) forms a hollow body provided with an upper location (3) and a bottom location (4) that are separated by a transversal partition (5) whose front edge (6) is linked to the front edge (7) of the housing (2). A mirror (8) provided with a positioning mechanism that can be actuated from inside and/or outside the vehicle is located in the upper location (3), said mechanism making it possible to position the mirror (8) in any commonly used positions. An additional mirror (9) having a fixed position relative to the housing (2) is placed in the bottom location (4), said mirror being adapted in such a way that the driver can see the side of the vehicle and the corresponding rear wheel or that the driver of the vehicle can see the vehicles behind him when said vehicles are located in the blind spot area.
