PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which manufactures oxygen by air oxidizing barium oxide and decomposing the formed barium peroxide and capable of efficiently effecting the decomposition of the barium peroxide at a low temperature, more solving the melting trouble of the barium peroxide and efficiently acquiring oxygen at a high recovery rate. SOLUTION: The oxygen absorber is prepared by combining vanadium oxide with the barium oxide.
