PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-cylinder engine improved so as to make an electrode terminal of an electric apparatus for engine hard to contact with a car body at collision time. SOLUTION: This multi-cylinder engine, having an electric apparatus for engine, arranges an electrode terminal 19 of the electric apparatus (for instance, alternator 4 in the embodiment) in a location opposed to a cylinder train direction end face of a part (for instance, intake manifold 15 in the embodiment) fixed to a position adjacent to the electric apparatus. In this way, even when a car body is deformed at collision time, by protecting with the intake manifold or the like, the electrode terminal is made hard to contact with the car body.
