<p>A process for producing an aromatic polyester carbonate which comprises providing a raw material mixture comprising an aromatic dicarboxylic acid, an aromatic diol, and a diaryl carbonate, a prepolymerization step, a crystallization step, and a solid-state polymerization step as essential steps, and optionally has also a compression forming step. The process has allowed the production of an aromatic polyester carbonate which is reduced in discoloration and has an increased degree of polymerization with good productivity.</p> |
