PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a head assembly, the head assembly and a linear tape driving mechanism. SOLUTION: According to one aspect of this invention, there is provided the method for forming the head assembly which has a step of preparing a base member, a step of forming a plurality of head components on the base member so that a information is transmitted individually to a tape, a step of providing a plurality of component areas adjacent to each one of the head components and a tape running path, and a step of providing a support area between the adjacent ones of the head components in the location which supports the tape moving along the running path, and of which the support area is consisted of the material different from the material of the component area. |
