PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system whereby data communication is made possible without a need of dedicated parts for communication either on data transmitting side or a data receiving side. SOLUTION: A cellular phone 8 receives data of a code matrix pattern including an account number and a balance of deposit, or the like from an automatic transfer terminal 1 and displays the data of the code matrix pattern received from the automatic transfer terminal 1 on an LCD 13 as an information code image. A POS terminal 15 reads the data of the code matrix pattern displayed by the cellular phone 8 as an information code image by a scanner 19. By adopting the information code image as a transmission medium for transmitting data, this system is capable of data communication without fitting parts dedicated for communication such as a connector, antenna and communication circuit to the cellular phone 8 on a data transmitting side and the POS terminal 15 on a data receiving side. |
