PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a doctor for preventing a cover from damaging by making the doctor softly contact to a roll uniformly in the width direction. SOLUTION: The teflon tube 20 in a blade-holding unit 10 for holding a doctor blade 16 has elasticity and pushes the doctor blade 16 to the surface 76 of a roll. The pressure tube 24 and the open tube 26 of a supporting unit 22 for supporting the blade-holding unit 10 push the doctor blade 16 to the surface 76 of the roll by pressurizing the blade-holding unit 10 and, at the beginning of doctoring, move the doctor blade 16 toward the surface 76 of the roll to contact to the surface 76. An air cylinder 68 moves the blade-holding unit 22 to the direction toward the surface 76 of the roll. The pressure tube 24 and the open tube 26 are arranged in the width direction. |
