摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing method by which a color image having high pixel density is provided on the exposed plane of a photosensitive medium and a digital image is formed on the photosensitive medium by utilizing a spatial optical modulator having high sight density. SOLUTION: Light from a light source forms an image on a polarizing beam splitter 80 through an optical assembly. The beam splitter 80 generates a 1st polarization state and a 2nd polarization state. The light in the 1st polarization state is made to go toward a 1st filter and further the 1st spatial optical modulator. A 1st chrominance signal is supplied to the 1st spatial optical modulator so as to correct a 1st polarized light beam, and the 1st polarized light beam is reflected to pass through the beam splitter 80. A 2nd polarized light beam passes through a 2nd filter and reaches the 2nd spatial optical modulator. According to a 2nd chrominance signal, the 2nd spatial optical modulator reflects the 2nd modulated light beam so as to pass through the beam splitter 80. The 1st and the 2nd modulated light beams are focused on the photosensitive medium through a printing lens 110.
