PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of the straight-advancing properties of light interfering due to a floating solid constituent in urine and the accuracy of actual determination becomes unstable, when determining a glycosuria value by the angle of rotation. SOLUTION: The urine testing device comprises a urine-storing cell 8 for storing urine, an emission section 91 for emitting light to urine in the urine- storing cell 8, and a light reception section 71 for receiving light, that has passed the urine and comes from the emission section 91. A floating solid substance in urine in the urine-storing cell 8 is localized, to judge the concentration of a substance with optical activity, thus achieving the straight-advance properties of light in urine and hence achieving stable determination with less variation.
