PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adequately control the states of OSD(On Screen Display) that controller equipment and target equipment compose. SOLUTION: An OSD state confirmation part A5 of controller equipment A sends a confirmation instruction to an OSD control part B4 of target equipment B and makes it confirm the display state of an OSD composition part B2 and report the display confirmation result through a 1394 bus. An operation selection part A6 of the controller equipment A selects which of the OSD control part B4 of the target equipment B and the OSD control part A4 of the control equipment A the input from an input part A6 is to be sent to according to the OSD state confirmation result. Thus, the OSD display state on the side of the target equipment B is confirmed on the side of the controller equipment A and the OSD display on the side of the controller equipment A and an object of operation from a remote control C can be determined, so adequate display contents and operation can be obtained. |
