PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lift for vehicle allowing using always a handrail when necessary, and making the handrail out of the way when not in use. SOLUTION: In the lift comprising a moving mechanism for moving a platform 5 from an opening of a vehicle to outside of the vehicle with keeping the platform 5 horizontal, side plates 10 standing vertically on the platform and the handrail 12 formed with a grip part 12a and a leg part 12b are mounted on both sides of the platform in a width direction. A lower part of the leg part 12b of the handrail is fixed on the platform face inside the side plates via a rotation mechanism 15. Fixing mechanisms 21, 22 for fixing the leg part 12b and the side plates 10 when the leg part 12b of the handrail stands vertically on the platform 5 are provided with the lift. The whole handrail has a size to be contained between both the side plates when the handrail is tilted down on the platform.
