PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which makes it possible to easily adjust picture quality differently by pages and which can output images of proper picture quality by the pages. SOLUTION: Documents are sent out of an automatic document feeder sheet by sheet, an image read means reads images of the sent-out documents, and a picture quality setting means sets picture quality differently by the pages in advance. The picture quality is set by selecting a mode corresponding to whether a document image is characters or a photograph, and the density, sharpness, etc., of an outputted image can be set. Then, the images read by the image read means are formed on forms with the set picture quality different by the pages. Therefore, even when the plurality of documents are copied at once by using the automatic document feeder, the images can be outputted with the proper picture quality corresponding to the document images and the excellent images can be formed. |
