PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground digital television broadcast system/receiver that can automatically accommodate to a revised broadcast network and receive a desired transmission wave even when the broadcast network is reconfigured and a transmission channel frequency, a transmission parameter or a position of a transmission station or the like is changed. SOLUTION: The transmission channel frequency or the transmission parameter revised when the broadcast network is reconfigured is transmitted by a succeeding ground distribution system descriptor and the receiver generates a succeeding reception channel table for switching and receives the broadcast signal by automatically switching the channel frequency and the parameter after the reconfiguration.
