PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device, a program recording medium and a program, for data file conversion that improves the efficiency of design works. SOLUTION: The data file conversion device 300 has a parts selector part 330 that selects parts to satisfy prescribed selection criteria from among the parts which constitute a model represented by a data file obtained via a data file acquisition device 310, a coloring part 340 that colors parts accorting to the color of the parts, and a data file generating part 350 that generates the data file representing the model consisting of the parts selected and colored.
