PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide software showing satisfactory behavior in local level and global level to a module included in a self-reconfigurable robot. SOLUTION: This method comprises the step (1003) of calculating a plurality of adaptability function values for a plurality of first software programs for executing a plurality of proposed modules; the step (1004) of selecting a plurality of second software programs from the first software programs on the basis of the respective adaptability function values; and the step (1005) of constructing a plurality of third software programs from the second software programs by use of genetic operation.
