PURPOSE: A sight glass exchanging apparatus in a bright annealing furnace is provided which improves productivity by replacing a contaminated sight glass with a new one without stopping the line, and prevents product defects by shortly replacing the sight glass without stopping production of products in the annealing furnace. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for exchanging a sight glass(16) installed in a through hole of a duct so as to control a central position of a strip passing though the inside of a bright annealing furnace, the sight glass exchanging apparatus in the bright annealing furnace comprises a support part(100) comprising a support frame(120) which is elastically supported to one side surface of the duct by a spring; and a transfer part(200) comprising pushers(220) which are installed on rails(210) so that the pushers(220) are reciprocated, and which push a new sight glass(18), and opening rods(230) which are installed on one side surfaces of the pushers so as to lift the support frame(120) when the pushers(220) are advanced, wherein the sight glasses are exchanged as the support frame(120) is being lifted by the opening rods(230), and the sight glass(16) is being pushed by the new sight glass(18) at the same time, and wherein the apparatus further comprises a nitrogen supply pipe(112) for ejecting nitrogen around the through hole so as to prevent external leakage of hydrogen which is charged into the duct during exchanging of the sight glass(16) and the new sight glass(18).
