PURPOSE: A continuous long benching method of a large-sized tunnel is provided to execute excavation works for a hanging wall and a floor wall of a large-sized tunnel simultaneously, to reduce the period of construction and to maximize the efficiency of equipment and manpower. CONSTITUTION: In a tunneling work by judging the grade of bedrock, blasting by boring and charging with gunpowder, disposing of muck, placing shotcrete and installing a lock bolt, the continuous long benching method of a large-sized tunnel comprises the steps of: excavating a hanging wall to a depth of 70-120 meters, then reinforcing and constructing; proceeding a work for the hanging wall continuously, constructing a conveyance route by selecting one side of right and left sides, excavating a half section of a floor wall to a depth of 15 meters, then reinforcing and constructing; and proceeding a work for the hanging wall continuously, constructing a conveyance route toward the front of the excavated half section of the floor wall, removing the remaining conveyance route, and excavating the half section of the floor wall to a depth of 15 meters toward the front of the conveyance route.
