PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter capable of easily, correctly, efficiently and beautifully cutting a rectangular laver-rolled sandwich along its diagonal. SOLUTION: This cutter comprises a pair of guide bars 1 and 1 which are longitudinally provided in an inclined manner with upper and lower ends thereof fixed to upper and lower frames 9 and 10, respectively, a receiving base 3 which is provided with a receiving part 3a of a cut article (a) on the front side, and supported by the air of guide bars in a vertically slidable manner, and places the cut article (a), a drive mechanism 6 of the receiving base 3, and a tool rest 2 which is provided with a plurality of cutting blades 2f longitudinally with predetermined intervals in the right-and-left direction and fixed to the frames with a predetermined angleβwith respect to the pair of guide bars 1 and 1. The receiving base 3 is constituted by fixing a pair of right and left supporting plates 4 and 5 for loading the cut article (a) in a substantially V-shaped manner in frontal view on the right and left sides of slits 3g opened in the right-and-left direction of the receiving base 3 with predetermined intervals for inserting each cutting blade.
