PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire which is light in weight and excels in handling stability, vibrational riding comfortability and road noise control performance. SOLUTION: Characteristics of this tire are that it possesses belt layers and belt-reinforcing layers arranged outside the belt layers in the radial direction of the tire, that cords embedded in the belt layers consist of polyester-type monofilament cords, and that the cords embedded in the belt-reinforcing layers consisting of polyester-type twisted cords.
