PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera which improve the accuracy of determination of white and can obtain superior white balance, when white is not present in an object to be imaged. SOLUTION: This electronic camera is equipped with an imaging means 12, which converts a signal of an object into an electrical signal and outputs an analog image signal; an A/D-converting means 14 which converts the analog image signal into a digital image signal, an image-dividing mean 20 which divides the digital image signal into plural regions, plural selecting means 26, which determine selecting or not-selecting about the plural divided regions according a prescribed reference, an indicating means 26 which indicates validness or invalidness of the plural selecting means, a white balance detecting means 26 which obtains plural white balance correction values from information selected by the selecting means indicated as being valid by the indicating means, and a white balance calculating means 30, which obtains one final white balance correction value from the plural white balance correction values.
