Drying method for lacquer-coated automobile body has heating power regulated in dependence on actual temperature of automobile body

The drying method uses regulation of the heating power by measuring the actual temperature of the automobile body (12) via at least one recording device (24), e.g. a thermal imaging camera, for the temperature distribution over the surface (26) of the automobile body. The actual temperature can be compared with a required temperature for adjusting the heating power when the obtained difference is outside a tolerance range. An Independent claim for a drying plant for a lacquer-coated automobile body is also included.
