The invention relates to a polymer that can be obtained by radically polymerizing at least one monomer of general formula (I), wherein: R<1> represents an alkylene radical having 1 to 44 C atoms, a cycloalkylene radical having 3 to 44 C atoms, an arylene radical having 4 to 40 C atoms, an aralkylene radical having 5 to 40 C atoms or a heteroaryl radical having 4 to 40 C atoms; R<2>, R<3> and R<4>, independent of one another, represent H or an alkyl radical having 1 to 10 C atoms or an aryl radical having 4 to 12 C atoms, and; Z represents a substituent having at least one thermally induced homolytically cleavable bond, whereby the thermally induced homolytic cleaving of the bond in Z occurs at a temperature ranging from - 10 DEG C to 150 DEG C. The invention also relates to a method for producing the aforementioned polymer and to the use thereof.
