CHANNEL MODULE OF MODULAR TELEVISION SET AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A channel module of a modular television set and a method of controlling the channel module are provided to accommodate various kinds of reception signals with a single channel module by dividing a radio-frequency signal receiving part. CONSTITUTION: A channel module of a modular television set includes a tuner(204), a channel decoder(202), IEEE 1394 interface(201), a memory(203), and a controller(205). The tuner outputs a baseband signal of a channel selected from an input radio-frequency signal. The channel decoder provides selected channel data and automatic gain control signal to the tuner and channel-decodes the input baseband signal to output a transmission stream. The interface supplies the transmission stream to a client module and interfaces transmission and reception of control data with the client module. The memory stores a control web page. The controller receives the control data from the client module, offers channel data to the channel decoder, and provides the control web page stored in the memory to the client module.
